Bloggong Ramadan: Day 5
An interesting day. Spent part of the morning sitting directly in front of an airconditioning unit in a meeting room. Freezing.
I got to listen to a talk by syeikh online. One thing I noticed aboit non- Musloms and Muslims, the non-Muslims generally don't know how Muslims view the people in the World.
To a Muslim, the Quran is the truth and there is no room for doubt (read the opening of Al Baqarah). A person who submits to the will of Allah is a Muslim because Islam means to submit. Then there are those who have also received Scriptures but have strayed from the path: the people of the books: the Ahlil kitab. Then there are those who refuse to acvept the truth: the word comes from the Arabic kufara (to cover) - hence kafr (those who cover the truth / do not accept the truth). The friendly ones are Kafr dzimmi and the hostile ones are Kafr harbi.
How do we relate to Kafrs? Go to quran.com and read for yourself - look for the surah Al Kafr.
