Don't They Ever Wonder
They
are talking again,
Spinning
lies and half truths,
Weaving
hatred and contempt,
In
syllables of vile venom,
Between
snarling words,
Bitter
phonemes and syllabic curds.
They
are yelling again,
Over
electric powered screamers,
Across
gullible minds unquestioning ears.
They
are inveigling again,
Obfuscating
and obscuring,
Lying
and informing,
It is
the floor that puzzles me,
I am
forced to wonder,
How
long can you not ponder?
How
long can their amazement be?
What
does it take to nudge their brains into gear?
What
does it take?
What
difference would it make?
What
vows would it break?
