This Madness We Call Bureaucracy 1


We have decide that we need to have a meeting. To do that, we have planning meetings, subcommittee meetings, coordination meetings, interdepartmental and inter organization planning meetings, final pre-meeting meeting. Then the actual meeting. Tgat done, we have a post mortem meeting followed by action committee meeting where we will identify the groups that are supposed to carry out the task. These groups will each have their strategic planning meetings followed by a few coordination meetings of the central commitee. By this time, we often forget what the initial plan was.

At the actual big meeting or event we will have breakfast, 10 am tea then lunch followed by afternoon tea. Of course, we have dinner followed by a supper at 10 before we break for the day. After that, we sometimes "entertain" the clients at a karaoke "meeting".
After all this is done, we will meet to gripe about how nothing got done.
