A Somewhat Peculiar Experience
Its Friday and I was in Tanjung Malim earlier today. It was time for Friday prayers and I made my way to the Masjid in front of Sultan Idris Education University (UPSI). The prayers went as it usually does. A relatively interesting sermon followed by the prayers itself.
It was when the prayers ended that I realised something rather peculiar. In KL, when the prayers end, you will see people rush off to go back to work or lunch. In Tanjung Malim, it was as if people were moving in slow motion. Nobody seems to be rushing anywhere. It was even a working day.
I have no explanations. No theories. Do you?
