There was a bit of excitement at my apartment tonight. There were a number of police cars too. One of my neighbors was found dead in her bedroom. The crowd thinks its drug overdose. I was told that she works at a nightclub and that she came home early this morning and went straight to bed. Then her housemate left for work and forgot to bring her keys. When the housemate came home, she realized that she could not get in so she called the woman’s hand phone. She was in but there was no answer on the phone. After a while trying, someone was brought in to open the door. The door was opened, they bedroom door locked. They forced their way into the bedroom and there she was, turning blue.
They said she died earlier today. Rigor mortis had set in and her fingers were dark blue. The common guess is that being an employee at a nightclub or disco, she might have taken ecstasy of something of that nature. Somehow, it caused her death. It might have been overdose or it could also have been cause by the chemical additives they use to make the drugs. We wont know until the postmortem results come out. In the meantime, with Malaysians being deeply superstitious people, especially the Chinese, I doubt the housemate would stay in that house again.
I also have a feeling that some twisted imagination is going to start some sort of ghost story out of this and add to the local urban legends collection.
