Seluas Langit

Tanah itu bidangnya seluas langit.

Sungai sungainya mengalir pelbagai nikmat.

Penghuninya muda belia tiada cacat cela.

Di situ terubat segala rindu.

Di situ tersurat segala ilmu

Di sana menanti senyuman pemaut hati.

Di sana menyanyi suara buluh perindu.

Di sana berjanji cinta kekal abadi.

Di tempat itu beratur teratak agam,

Bertatah permata berkilau kilauan.

Di tempat itu tiada muram durja,

Cuma tawa senda manja bercanda.

Di situ anginnya sepoi seribu bahasa.

Di situ hiasannya perak kencana.

Di situ mainannya manikam permata.

Di sini aku termanggu.

Apakah terkota janji ku dahulu?

As Wide as the Sky

That land is as wide as the sky.

In its rivers flow many pleasures

Its denizens are young and flawless

There all longings will be fulfilled

There all knowledge is instilled

There waits the heart grabbing smile

There sings a voice of great beauty

There the lover’s promises forever fulfilled

There lies rows of magnificent mansions

Adorned by many shining jewels

There is no sadness there

Only laughter of lovers

There blows gentlest winds

Decorations there are of gold and silver

Playthings there are of diamonds and jewels

Here I sit wondering

Have I fulfilled the promises that I made.
