And so it begins in earnest

I was in a lecture when PM Najib announced the dissolution of parliament. Media tells me that the next General Election will be at the end of the month.
The exact voting date is still a mystery, at least to me. The Malaysian FB is abuzz with horrible lies, hateful statements, maliscious retorts, deep-seated racist sentiments hidden behind egalitarian rethorics and, of course, numerous instances where language reveals not thought but the absence of thought.
Then there is the rethoric itself. The mind baffles it complexity, ubiquitousness, fluidity, dishonesty, dishonour, brilliance and polished illusion of truthfulness. What is painfully obvious in Malaysian politics is that, media is used not to inform but to obscure, enveigle and obfuscate.
